Royal Caribbean Private Island Coco Cay
Whilst on a my second Bahamas cruise with Royal Caribbean one of the ports was Coco Cay which is privately owned by Royal Caribbean. I thought this was a great idea by the cruise companies as each port is filled with different cruises so to finally have their own private islands is great as there’s less people. The island of Coco Cay is in-between Free port and Nassau and next to Great Stirrup Cay and the ship will be visiting all of those islands. We embarked off the ship on to another smaller boat to take everyone to the island. There were a couple of huts on the island selling Bahamas souvenirs and products that had been made. As the island was pretty big there was plenty of space and lot’s of sun loungers and hammocks. If you got bored of sunbathing or swimming in the ocean on the inflatables you could do some shopping or have a bite to eat at the all you can eat buffet put on by Royal Caribbean. Coco Cay was a great place to relax and get away from all the other people on the ship and at the other ports. They had lot’s of water sports you could do on the island and slides on the island for children. After visiting lot’s of ports this port gave everyone a chance to have a relaxing day on the beach as cruises aren’t relaxing at all as after you feel like you need another holiday to rest.
